The aim of the research is to analyse the bullying suffered during school age, as well as the relationship between bullying experiences and young adult’s personality along the Big5 personality traits, as well as global self-esteem.

The study involved 209 young adults between the ages of 17 and 34, with a mean age of 21 years. The tools used in the survey are a demographic questionnaire, a self-reporting bullying questionnaire, the Big Five Inventory (BFI), and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. The research uses a correlation strategy, the statistical tests used in the data processing are descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, Pearson’s correlation and analysis of variance (anova).

According to our results, a large proportion (77.7%) of respondents experienced bullying in school as children, 23.8% every day or almost every. 23.1% admitted they harassed others during their school years.

Regarding the personality traits, the results show that individuals who had experienced school bullying are significantly more neurotic and less extraverted than their than their unexperienced peers, and more frequently bullying is associated with lower extraversion, lower friendliness, and greater openness. Persons who had committed bullying are significantly less conscientious than their peers who have not.

As for help-seeking behaviour, nearly half of young people did not tell anyone about what had happened, only 28% sought help from an adult and only 13% actually received help. These results clearly stress the importance of developing school policies against bullying, which specifically address prevention, but also intervention.

The Covid-19 pandemic has made it necessary to focus on health care. In our study, we discuss how the curfew has affected the mental health, health status and health behavior of a group of Hungarian social worker students from Transylvania. We are looking at what they have done to protect their health, what protective factors have allowed them to remain resilient, and maintain their good mental and physical health. We point out the values and ways that enabled them to handle the situation. Our goal was to draw attention to the fact that crisis situations can be dealt with awareness, conscious use of techniques and purposeful allocation of resources.

The global definition of social work is activating people and systems, providing an answer to the challenges of life, and giving a route towards a better one1. This is achieved by tools and methods, which can be used during group counseling, making the goal of a better, different life one step closer. This study which is also used to provide guidance, introduces ways to help in self-assessment and career choices. „Mural painting” is a method of Nicaraguan origin, mainly used as a communitybuilding tool, the use of which began years ago in Transylvania. In 2019 we tried this method with adolescents in their sophomore, with the goal of getting rid of their doubts, and clearing their head for the future.

This study provides insight into the intervention results of my dissertation. The main topic of the dissertation is the mental health care for older people, especially in coping and in maintaining their mental health. Right at the start, I briefly present the literature review of the topic: I write about the concept of mental hygiene, aspects of successful aging, coping strategies, tasks of the old age and the role of a mental health professional in their life. In the intervention section, I shortly summarize the conversations with three elderly people, in the end I describe the results, my own experiences, opinion and draw conclusions.
